Now in its 37th year, VHBG’s Golf Classic has brought our community together around one simple but powerful idea: when we show up for children, lives are changed. 

The 37th Annual Golf Classic is more than a tournament. It is a celebration of connection between friends, colleagues, and neighbors and a meaningful investment in the youth and families served by Virginia Home for Boys and Girls. 

Every swing, every team, every partnership helps create stability, healing, and opportunity for children who need it most.

What You Will Experience

•  A full day of tournament play at one of the region’s premier private courses
•  On-course contests, raffles, and chances to win great prizes
•  Lunch on the course and a post-round reception with dinner, awards, and auction highlights

The Golf Classic is designed to be welcoming whether you are a seasoned golfer, a corporate sponsor, or someone who simply loves a good day on the course for a cause.

Event Schedule

9:30 AM – Registration 
Check in, connect with fellow players, and prepare for a meaningful day. 

10:30 AM – Welcome & Overview
A brief program highlighting the impact of VHBG and the difference your participation makes. 

11:00 AM – Shotgun Start
Tee off for golf, on-course contests, and camaraderie. 

On-Course Experiences
Throughout the day, enjoy interactive holes, friendly competitions, and special features. 

4:30 PM – Awards & Reception
Celebrate the day, recognize tournament winners, and reflect on the collective impact made possible through your support. 

5:30 PM- Ball Drop 
The Ball Drop is one of the most exciting moments of the day, as numbered golf balls are dropped onto the course for a chance to win a special prize
