At Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, our events are where passion meets purpose and everyone is invited. Each event is a chance to come together, celebrate community, and play a meaningful role in creating brighter futures for the youth we serve.

From lively gatherings and long-standing traditions to signature fundraisers that bring people together in powerful ways, every event helps fuel our mission. When you attend, you are not just showing up you are showing support, creating opportunity, and helping change lives.

We invite you to explore our events, bring your energy, invite your friends, and join us in making an impact. Every moment shared, every connection made, and every experience enjoyed helps move our mission forward. We cannot wait to see you there.

Participants learn to spot signs of mental health challenges, understand risk factors, and use a simple five-step action plan to connect youth with appropriate support. The training includes a workbook, certified instruction, and a three-year certification.

The workshop is led by Karen Rice, LCSW, a nationally certified Mental Health First Aid instructor with over 30 years of experience.
