Founders Day
Founders Day
Celebrate 180 Years on March 30
On March 30, 1846, Richmonders came together to found VHBG to care for children in need.
180 years later, you can carry that legacy forward.
This Founders Day, every gift DOUBLES thanks to an generous $90,000 matching challenge—but only until March 30.
Help us secure this match and provide transitional housing and support for young people who need us most.
Thanks to our incredible supporters, we raised $1,410,550 last year to provide temporary housing, education and essentials to kids in the foster care system and young people experiencing homelessness. Safe housing, education and mental health care can be life-saving for a young person striving for stability. Chip in now!
