			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h5>VHBG&#8217;s youth support children&#8217;s mental health awareness month in May&#8211;How will you support it?</h5>
<p>One in five children in the U.S. has a mental disorder that interferes with daily functioning. When left untreated, childhood mental disorders can lead to school failure, family conflicts, substance abuse and even suicide. Virginia Home for Boys and Girls (VHBG) works to help those children facing mental disorders and their families, whether they are living at home or have been placed in VHBG’s campus-based group homes. </p>
<p>Here are a few great events you can attend to support children&#8217;s mental health awareness month:</p>

<p>Virginia Home for Boys and Girls celebrated its donors and volunteers on Wednesday, February 6.  Guests participated in tours of the VHBG campus and recognized a special group of individuals and organizations for their contributions to Virginia Home for Boys and Girls:</p>

<p>Virginia Home for Boys and Girls is thankful for all of its supporters to help alleviate the challenges our kids have faced in their young lives.</p>
